50m Pools
For the community hosting a major national or international competitive event success is not only measured in the number of gold medals received, but in the “life after the games” designed into the facilities.
Excitement generated by events held at the facility will act as a huge draw to the general public and create interest in the sports and activities showcased. The venues should provide the amenities to encourage beginners and amateurs as well as providing on-going training opportunities for the elite athlete. The use of a modern and well designed sports venue should be geared toward the complete family unit; all the elements are carefully selected to maximize and encourage use by every member of the family.
The inclusion of movable floors and bulkheads allow the 50m pool tank to be segmented and adapted to provide for a wide variety of activities.
In our view, it is essential that participants and spectators alike are afforded the opportunity to relax and enjoy the company of one another, whilst being at the centre of activity. Social lounges and café terraces are allowed to integrate with various component parts.
