South Peace Multi-Plex, Dawson Creek, BC

The Dawson Creek Centennial Pool needed to be replaced, and soon, and as such, the proposed Multiplex will take advantage of economies of scale that can be realized in combining a new Aquatic Centre with an Events Centre and Agri-Centre. The endeavor will be a combined effort by Boards and Councils representing the Peace River Regional District, the City of Dawson Creek, and the Village of Pouce Coupe. This will bring renewed and expanded opportunities for recreational activities and entertainment events, as well as providing a focus for the agricultural sector in the South Peace.

The Aquatic Centre will feature a competitive pool, leisure pool and tot's pool that would include slides and other interactive components. The Events Centre will be capable of hosting everything from big name entertainment to equestrian events to indoor sports like soccer and motorbike races. And finally, The Agri-Centre will provide an opportunity to showcase the region's agricultural roots with a riding arena and livestock stalls.
